Seattle Mind Camp 2.0 Is Sold Out

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Upcoming

Well, that didn’t take too long at all. About two weeks after tickets went on sale for the second Seattle Mind Camp, all 200 tickets sold out. We want to thank the attendees for getting the ball rolling towards a successful event. The attendee list is impressive, and I personally look forward to meeting (or, in some cases, reconnecting) with everyone.

For those wanted to get in, leave a comment on this post. If anyone cancels, we will use the comments here as our waiting list.

i missed registering by just a few hours… didn’t know we could post here, do now though… wink  please let us eager campers in!  there’s only 7 of us, surely you can handle the additional load.  plz!?

Please add me to the waiting list. Thanks

D’oh… missed the boat on this one… Can I come too???

I heard about this event just after the last one, and once again it appears I am too late, but if there is a line somewhere or a change in fortunes as the event develops, I would love to find out.  I suppose I’ll lurk on the website and be interested to hear information as Mind Camp is going on.

was not sure i was going to be able to come until just a few minutes ago…  as soon as i found i could, i went to the site… and its sold out.  any chance i can still get in?  thanks.  mjl

There are nearly enough of us to hold our own event if we cannot crash the main event.

I say we show up at the event, and are invited in, or we hold alt.seattlemind with the 7+ of us, focusing on indepth connections rather than lots of shallow ones.  I’d be up for an alt location or activity set—there’s lots of unpredictably amazing stuff we could do.

Phil,

Apparently, you don’t understand the situation.

We are in a facility that was nice enough to allow us to hold our event there. We agreed to a MAXIMUM AMOUNT of people that they would allow us to have at the event that they are kindly hosting.

Further, we signed a contract that specifically stated that maximum.

Why would we just go against it, and break it, because people that didn’t register in time show up with the intent on being “invited in?”

Don’t get me wrong - if it were up to us, we would have every single person who wanted to be there in a heartbeat. However, this is a contracted event with both the venue and the insurance company.

I apologize, but those come first.

Andru,
The post on this message says ‘we will use the comments here as our waiting list’, so that’s what we’ve been doing. No indication has been given of how you’d let us know of cancellations, or of what constitutes a cancellation. How about if you describe these details better so we can have a clearer idea of what you’re thinking, and of what being on a waiting list means. Does being on the waiting list mean we’re SOL, or does it mean there’s some kind of chance of our being let in, or something entirely different. By when would you notify us of cancellations? If there are fewer than 200 people at the event at a given, which I think may be highly likely, would you let waitlisted folk in, or not?

+waiting list: Lion Kimbro 206.427.2545 (that’s me)

may have a solution… hang on a sec…

I will be sending an email to people on this waiting list that are looking for entry.

If there’s still room, I’d like to come. At least for a couple of hours.

How about if you describe these details better so we can have a clearer idea of what you’re thinking, and of what being on a waiting list means.

That’s great! Your idea is awesome. As for me, I’m already included in this little program you just have to say when and where and what is more important, HOW! I just can’t wait for this to happen and I am sure that I am not the only one who wants this to happen.
