MindCampMesh
The wireless network is being set up by [http://seattlewireless.net/ SeattleWireless] with gear provided by [http://metrix.net/ Metrix Communication LLC]
Rather than setting up your traditional underpowered overutilized conference network, we will be creating an ad-hoc mesh network running OLSR. I don’t think you can get more participatory or self-organizing than this.
Matt will give a thorough rundown of how stuff works for anyone interested.
OLSR Routing daemons needed to connect a machine to the network will be distributed via a bootstrap network and run on Windows, OSX, Linux, and you can build your own (Open Source Baybee).
If you want to be extra prepared, you can pre-download a binary from olsr.org
If you are bringing your own Internet connection (GPRS, EVDO, VSAT) you can add it to the network by announcing a 0.0.0.0 HNA.
